If you would like to re-employ a former employee (alumni), you can do so via the alumni file.

Please open the alumni file of the employee to be re-employed, click onand choose in the following dialog whether the former employee should keep the old contract data or start with new contract data.

The date set in the Valid From field corresponds to the re-employment date of the alumni employee.

Re-employment with former contract data

This setting makes sense, for example, for returning seasonal workers who are re-employed under the same conditions as before.

Re-employment with former contract data

The employee starts with the previously set working time model, basic leave, company, contract type, department and supervisor. The contract start date changes to the date selected in the Valid From field.

Re-employment with new contract data

This setting makes sense, for example, in the case of re-employment, where former employees are re-employed after several years in a new department or with fewer hours (part-time contract).

Re-employment with new contract data

When re-employing with new contract data, the company can now be selected if a change is required. Contract type, basic leave and weekly working hours as well as the working time model remain empty and have to be re-entered.

In both cases, a new contract is added to the existing contract(s) to show that the employee is entering into a new contract with the company. This can be seen in the employee file under Contracts.
